This first session is a great opportunity to warm up and get into the rhythm of the photography journey.
The day begins with a sunrise photography session before travelling into the countryside for a special conceptual village shoot.
Local villagers will participate in a photography session featuring traditional umbrellas and authentic village environments.
In the afternoon we travel to Watu Lumbung Hill, where sweeping views create dramatic sunset photography opportunities.
If the sky is clear, we may also photograph the Milky Way.
Before dawn we travel to Prambanan Temple for sunrise photography with the silhouette of Mount Merapi in the background.
Later in the morning we continue to another cultural photography session with villagers in traditional houses.
In the afternoon we head toward the volcanic landscapes of Mount Merapi, capturing dramatic lava fields and sunset views.
We begin the day photographing sunrise at Gubuk Merapi, surrounded by the rugged terrain of one of Indonesia’s most active volcanoes.
After exploring the volcanic landscape, we return to the city before enjoying a photowalk at Beringharjo Market.
This vibrant traditional market offers fantastic opportunities for street photography, capturing colourful stalls and everyday life in Yogyakarta.
