Kyushu Birding Workshop

A birding and photography journey through Kyushu, Japan’s southernmost main island, known for its rich coastal wetlands, scenic landscapes, and seasonal bird migration.

This expedition combines birdwatching and photography across some of Kyushu’s best birding locations, from the mudflats and hill parks of Fukuoka to the famous crane grounds of Izumi and the coastal habitats of Yatsushiro.

Travelling in November offers opportunities to photograph resident species, breeding behaviour, coastal birds, and the beautiful autumn landscapes of southern Japan.

Led by wildlife photographer Daryl Yeo, this small group experience focuses on field observation, bird behaviour, and photographic opportunities in natural environments.
